Pierre Gasly voices deep disappointment after ‘very scary’ Liam Lawson shunt
At the Miami Grand Prix, Pierre Gasly was involved in a frightening crash that left his Alpine car overturned. Gasly was in a battle with Liam Lawson for a points-scoring position when the incident occurred. Lawson’s attempt to overtake led to contact with Gasly, causing the Alpine to flip over. Gasly described the experience as very scary and mentioned losing control while he was in the air. Despite leaving space for Lawson, the contact resulted in the crash, with Gasly expressing his discomfort with the situation. Lawson, however, was not penalized as it was later determined that a gearbox failure caused the lock-up leading to the incident.
